COMPANY HISTORY – PRUDENTIAL POGGI & JONES REALTORS

Prudential Poggi & Jones REALTORS® has a diverse and fascinating background! This multifaceted Real Estate Brokerage Firm was created in 2002 from the merger of two successful firms, both of which were affiliated with Prudential prior to their merger; PRUDENTIAL HOWELL & JONES REALTORS AND PRUDENTIAL LANDMARK PROPERTIES.

Howell and Jones Real Estate was one of the original real estate companies founded in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 1923. Edmund H. Poggi Jr., affiliated with the firm in 1933. Edmund spent many years developing the business and eventually purchased the firm in 1962. The Poggi family name has been synonymous with the Howell & Jones Real Estate name as well as the real estate business for three quarters of a century. Edmund H. Poggi III entered the business in 1980. Howell & Jones joined the Prudential as Prudential Howell & Jones Realtors.

Maribeth Jones tenure as a real estate professional encompasses 25 years of dedicated experience. Maribeth served as President of the Wilkes-Barre Association of Realtors in 1998 and 1999. She holds a Broker Appraiser license, three national designations, GRI, CRS, CRB from the Realtors National Marketing Institute. Maribeth opened her own business in 1990 as Maribeth Jones Company. In 1994 she affiliated with Prudential Real Estate Affiliates as Prudential Landmark Properties.
