Prudential Poggi & Jones, REALTORS® has a diverse and fascinating background! This multifaceted Real Estate Brokerage firm was created in 2002 from the merger of two successful firms, both of which were affiliated with Prudential prior to their merger, Prudential Howell & Jones, REALTORS and Prudential Landmark Properties.
Howell and Jones Real Estate was one of the original real estate companies founded in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 1923. Edmund Ho. Poggi Jr., affiliated with the firm in 1933. Edmund spent many years developing the business and eventually purchased the firm in 1962. The Poggi family name has been synonymous with the Howell & Jones Real Estate name as well as the real estate business for three quarters of a century. Edmund H. Poggi III entered the business in 1980. Howell & Jones joined Prudential as Prudential Howell & Jones Realtors.
This real estate merger was operated as a partnership with equal partners being Edmund H. Poggi III and Maribeth Jones. This successful partnership has continued to prosper and grow into the full service real estate brokerage that it is today.
In 2011, Edmund H. Poggi III (Ted Poggi) assumed ownership of the whole company with a keen eye on further prosperity and growth into the future. The owner enjoys all aspects of the real estate brokerage business and it is his goal to allow all of our agents and employees to have the right real estate tools to succeed financially and satisfy customers and clients both today and into the future.
